Newsflash:

Full of Mildew

Here is another commandment that further reveals the love of God. Yes, the law, “Thou shall not steal”, it’s not meant to prevent surplus or provision, it is meant to protect your property and mine from being taken by someone else. God loves us so much that He prohibits anyone from taking what belongs to us and likewise we should not take what belongs to others. See, the law of God is not burdensome and if we say we love Him, we must obey this law.

You see, anyone who takes what does not belong to him or her is called a thief and God has placed a 30 X 15 feet curse on thieves and there is no way out of the wrath of the curse unless one repents from stealing. The tallest among us is probably about 7 feet tall and maybe 2 to 3 feet fat or wide. Can you imagine how a 7 footer would get out of a 30 feet problem? The name of the curse that God places on the lives of thieves is “MILDEW.” Your bible may call it plague or leprosy.

MILDEW is RUST in grains due to a special fungus called “PUCCINIA GRAMINIS.” Mildew is greenish yellow in color and is generated by moisture and it corrodes the surface upon which it appears. This can be compared to leprosy. Leprosy does not heal easily (I wonder if it has a cure, unless there is miraculous intervention of God). This is the nature of the problems that God said He will place upon the lives of those who steal.  Zechariah 5:1-4 explains that God has placed this curse on thieves. Open your bible to confirm this.

Mildew or leprosy is destructive in nature. The Pastor or High Priest may pray and do cleansing all they want, but if there is no repentance and cleaning by the blood of the lamb, Jesus, the life of the person upon whom there is this curse will eventually be torn apart and destroyed.

Dear Readers, I’d like you to begin examining yourself now. Did you know that there is such a destructive curse on the lives of those who steal one thing or the other? How many things have you stolen in your life? How often do you take what does not belong to you? Do you assume God is not watching or He won’t do anything about it? Jesus says I have come to fulfill the laws. This means today’s Christians are also expected to obey God’s laws no matter the amount of grace upon our lives.

As you and I hate to see mildew upon our walls and won’t eat any food upon which mildew has developed, so God won’t accept anyone upon whom mildew has developed as a result of robbery. Anyone who steals from people, the government or from God is a thief. Every thief has mildew growing upon the surface of their lives, as far as God is concerned. Just as human beings will dispose of any food with mildew, so will God throw away mildew or leprosy plagued people from His will and wellness.

Let’s examine ourselves. Mildew curse applies to petty larceny, highway robberies, and public or private stealing. It applies to taking advantage of buyers’ or sellers’ ignorance. Business people beware of overpricing. Buyers beware of wanting to cut short the livelihood of others.

Now when it comes to stealing from God, this same 30 X 15 foot curse is upon every offender.

In Malachi 3:9 God says you have robbed Him by not paying your tithe. This means anyone who robs God in tithe and offering is a thief. But don’t forget a thief has a divine curse placed upon him / her. The curse is on a wide and long scroll and it has mildew, leprosy or plague in nature. Can you stand leprosy?  If your answer is “NO”, then repent today as you read this message.

Some people bring half, two-thirds or zero portion of their tithe to God. Please note that He won’t accept or bless anything that is not complete. Lev. 27:30-33 asks us to bring the entire tithe as it belongs to God. You and I may not eat any part of it; it is not ours and if we do, it will live a bitter after taste upon our lives.

Do not neglect to pay your tithe either by design or oversight. When you pay your tithe to the Lord, you are honoring Him, thereby obeying Prov. 3:9 which says we should acknowledge God with our belongings.

Repent today and stop robbing God. As you and I dispose of any part of our food, which has developed mildew, thereby reducing our ration, so is our blessing shorted when God places mildew on our blessings because we rob Him in tithe and offering. Please take this seriously. If troubles have plagued your life and there is not much goodness happening, maybe you are growing mildew. If there is no blessing or joy, maybe you are growing mildew because of holding back what belongs to God or people. Are you withholding the goodness of someone, you are a thief and mildew will grow on you. Have you taken a land which really does not belong to you, you have stolen and mildew is growing upon you. It is a matter of time before you are cut off. Deut 27:17 says, “Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor's boundary stone.”

Repent today and the Lord Jesus will save you. “Thou shall not steal” is a serious law. Take it to heart and take God at His WORD. Pay back what you have stolen, ask for God’s mercy and stop robbing Him. Stop cheating people; you also will be protected from being robbed or cheated. May God help you.
