Freedom?
Every 4th of July in the U.S.A., we celebrate the independence of the country. Independence means liberty, or freedom. On this day people say “Have a blast!” or “Happy 4th of July.” Some go to the Parks or somewhere else to watch the fireworks while some watch on T.V. People sing songs of freedom, and conclude by saying “God Bless America!” This is great, but are you personally experiencing true freedom? Sometime ago I heard Bishop T. D. Jakes preach a message titled, “The Sound of Heaven”, and this message has inspired my line of thought today.Speaking of freedom, are you free? Free spiritually, emotionally, financially and in your health? In case your answer is simply ‘NO’ to any part of this question, I want to inform or remind you that God’s intention is for you to be free. The only experience that will bring you true freedom is the move of the Holy Spirit. In Genesis1: 1-2 the Bible says, “In the beginning God…” This is a God whose existence is a mystery; He has no birthday; He was, He is and forever He will be. He is awesome and He has a Spirit that moves and life starts. When this Spirit moves, joy sets in. The God who Himself has no beginning or end but knows your beginning and end [the Alpha and Omega] will take you to the beginning of your life and do repairs now in Jesus name. You know in the beginning, the Bible says, “… the earth was void and without form…” The world was in complete darkness as some people’s worlds are today, but the Spirit of God moved over the face of the deep (waters). The void in your life may involve loneliness - you are of age, in need of a good spouse but no one is forth coming, the Spirit of God will move on your behalf as you read this article. May be you are married but there is no joy and your spouse disrespects and beats you up often, this is not the will of God but I pray that the Holy Spirit will move this oppression away from your marriage today in Jesus name. You and your spouse may have been separated by green card, but my God who owns both the land and the hearts of law makers will have His Spirit move on your behalf – beginning now in Jesus name. May be you live your life in constant fear and bad dreams have become your everyday issue: May be you have in-law problems or cultural clash. The Holy Spirit will move today and your freedom will come in Jesus name. Is it church problem or family problem? Is it work related or health related? All your voids shall be filled in Jesus name. The power of darkness upon your life shall be lifted as God’s Spirit moves in Jesus name. Yes, God has made provision for you. The provision is the Holy Spirit. You need the Holy Spirit’s intervention in your life in order to remove all forms of voids and darkness. When the Spirit moved in Genesis, light came and God created all beauties by His words, saying, “LET there be light, and there was light …”). When the spirit of God moves, He will blow a wind like a sound from heaven into your life as it occurred in Acts 2:2 and say ‘Let there be freedom in the life of my son’; ‘Let there be freedom in the life of my daughter’; ‘Let there be freedom in the life of the person who is seeking my face right now for freedom. When the Spirit of God moves, you’ll be able to say, “Let there be…” and something will begin to happen positively in your life. See Genesis 1:3. In the kitchen, on the road, at work, in your sleep, you’ll say “Let…” and God’s beauty will come. And your freedom from bondage will come.When the spirit of God hovers over your life, God will take absolute control and you will no longer be able to do things your way anymore - like hamburger. Hamburger eaters sometimes have it well done or at times not well done. God won’t give you over to a reprobate mind. He will make sure that your life is always well done (lived according to His will).Are you barren, single, lonely, sick, downcast etc? You need the Spirit of God to move upon your life like a sound from heaven so you can say “Let”…. and thy freedom shall come.When the spirit of God moved as the man of God prophesied to the dry bones in Ezekiel 37:1-11, the dry bones received breath and they lived. As explained in Ezekiel 37:11, you are the dry bone and the breath of life must come into you. May be you feel like suicide is the best solution to your problems right now. No! Don’t do it. The breath of life shall blow upon your life as you read this freedom news and your life shall be worth living again. You don’t need to die. The Bible says you shall live to declare the goodness of God. I speak right now in the name of Jesus that the Spirit of God will move upon every aspect of your situations and your freedom will start. You need the move and breath of the Holy Spirit in order for you to receive freedom from all bondages and void life. Without the Holy Spirit, one remains in the dark and would never be clear about anything in life. Without the Holy Spirit, although you may have a lot of dollars and the American dream, bad dreams may still oppress you and also you cannot please God nor do His will. It is the Spirit of God that testifies that you are a child of God. Ezek. 36:27 says, “I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will keep my judgments and do them” (NKJV). Give your life to Jesus and ask for the indwelling of His Spirit. Ask that His Spirit will move in your life and speak clarity and wellness just as it happened in Genesis chapter one. Take the step toward the Holy Spirit now and you will see the difference. It is neither might nor power that moves mountains and troubles away from people’s lives, it is His Spirit, says the Lord, Zechariah 4:6 I enjoin you to accept this good news. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life. Those who will receive the Spirit of God must desire Him (Hunger and thirst for Him - Matthew 5:6). Let Him move upon your situations; your life will blossom. I pray that your Independence Day holiday is full of true independence indeed. Please be assured that you can find true independence ONLY in Jesus Christ. Once you accept Him, His Spirit will begin to move in your life and you will be set free.
